It’s how you choose to look at things that count.

While cooking up a storm, I came across this potato, doesn’t it look like a heart? I showed my children, and Lachlan my 11 year old son promptly said that it looked like a gluteus maximus! I guess it’s how you choose to look at things eh?

Speaking of cooking, here is a yummy cake recipe for you.

Luscious Belgian Lemon Teacake.

1 cup SR flour

1/2 cup castor sugar

60g butter

1 egg slightly beaten

oven on 180c, grease round cake tin (17cm)

Sift flour, add sugar, mix well. Rub in butter until it looks like breadcrumbs. Make a well in the centre and stir in the egg. Mix to a soft dough. Press 2/3 of dough into the tim. Pour filling over the top (filling…add 1/4 cup lemon juice, 1/2 cup sugar, 60g butter and 1 egg slightly beaten to a saucepan, heat gently, stirring constantly until mixture boils and thickens, use while hot).

crumble small remaining pieces of dough over filling. Bake for 30 min, cool in tin.

Freezes well:D
